Local Control
Station (LCS).
A Local Control Station (LCS) is a field-mounted control interface designed to provide manual operation and status indication of plant equipment such as motors, drives, pumps, crushers, and other process equipment. It enables local start/stop control, emergency shutdown, and operational status monitoring independent of the main control room (PLC/DCS). It can also be connected to main control system via RIO panels. Typical installation areas include mining sites, processing plants, substations, and heavy industrial facilities.
